The spiritual gift of prophecy is often misunderstood, ignored or put to one side but at Jericho Road we want to continue to grow into this gift...
Family Ministries
While we believe in age-appropriate and life-stage ministries, we at Jericho Road also desire to encourage a sense of family for all who are a part of our church.
Some of the ways we do this include:
Family Services
Every 2nd Sunday of the month we have a Family Service specifically geared towards our younger members, with music and a message that is engaging and directed to our children and youth. Similarly, our regular Sunday morning worship includes a childrens song and opportunities for children and youth to worship through dance and for teens to participate in the worship team.
Family Camp
For several years we’ve been heading to Camp Homewood on Quadra Island for a weekend Family Camp. This isn’t just for those with young families, but a chance for the whole church to enjoy some time together playing, worshiping, going for walks, enjoying skits, praying together, chatting over a hot chocolate, and so much more.
Family Camp usually takes place in April – look for more info. on this site as we draw closer to that time. See some photos of our Robin Hood themed Family Camp 2010 here.
Family Gatherings
Hanging out together at Sproat Lake, sharing dinners together at the church or in homes, and celebrating the New Year together are just some of the things we do on a regular basis as a church family.
Jericho Off-Road
An off-shoot of a ministry of our Jericho Road Nanaimo campus, Jericho Off-Road is youth and adults building community while mountain biking the many great trails around the Alberni Valley. Rides take place sporadically here in Port - contact Ken Hunter for more info. on the next JR Off-Road trip.
