Vision

The core vision of Jericho Road is to foster a community where people from all walks of life can discover the love, healing and hope of God the Father as revealed through Jesus Christ. Relationships are the context in which God most powerfully works and we believe that everyone is invited and 'gets to play and become'.

We celebrate relationship with a God whom we know to be kind and compassionate and more fun than we might first dare to imagine. We meet together in various places on Sundays and throughout the week, but church for us isn't just a Sunday event. Rather it's about becoming a vibrant community that is open and active every day and in every sphere of life.

From the beginning of Jericho Road in Port Alberni there was a vision for a regional network of three church campuses - Port Alberni, Parksville / Qualicum area, and Nanaimo. In 2010 we began to see the fulfillment of this vision through the establishment of a small church in Parksville and the founding of relationships with a leadership group in Nanaimo.

Ultimately we desire to see three Jericho Road campuses fulfilling a common vision - God's kingdom come and His will done "on earth as it is in heaven" (Matthew 6:10) - in a way that uniquely fits their own context, gifts and heart for ministry.
